1825 Days – a free compilation by Hardtechno.lt

These days there is a lot to write about. I recorded the 29th podcast for The Harder View from Australia, gave an interview for them along with Jackhamma,  there is a free acid-hardtekkno EP by Dave Demon and myself for you to download, it is festival-time with huge tekkno-events going on all over Europe and so on and so forth…

Today another thing adds to the list: Hardtechno.lt from Lithuania celebrate their fifth anniversary and bring out a free compilation with hardtekkno, hardcore, corestep and tekkno for you to enjoy. The name of this compilation is “1825 Days” and the tracklist is long: Read More…

HardtraX vs. Jackhamma interview for The Harder View (Australia)

And again I have got some great news to share with you: Jackhamma and I have given an interview for the Australian hardcore/hardtekkno/hardstyle portal “The Harder View“.

In this interview we talk about how we started out in the past, the things we want to do in the future, about performing live and what makes it special to us. Read More…

Free acid tekkno EP by Dave Demon & HardtraX

Good news for all those who enjoyed the track “Threatening You” which was released on the first USB Records vinyl a couple of years ago: Dave Demon and I have collaborated again for the first time since 5 years and we bring you the results of our hard work for free.

“Bad Situations” is a three-tracker produced by Dave Demon and me on last Monday, thus you really get to hear the very latest productions I made. All the three tracks are crazy, fast-paced dark hardtekkno productions with a good dose of TB-303 acid-basslines.

There have not been too many hardtekkno-releases with acid sounds in them lately, so we thought these tracks would be a nice change. The best part is, that you can check out our tunes on your own sound-systems, because we give the whole EP including artwork to you for free!

Choose your favourite mirror and hit one of the download-links to pump some hard acid tekkno through your speakers:

The Harder View Podcast 29 mixed by HardtraX

If you like electronic music with a hard edge, then you should have a close look at the Australian web-portal The Harder View which covers various styles of hardcore, hardstyle and hardtekkno music. This month The Harder View brings you a new podcast mixed by… tatatatataaaa… *drumroll*… me! And this time I made a slightly different choice for the tracks used for this podcast. My latest DJ-set is more on the distorted, gritty, dirty-grinding industrial side of tekkno. Read More…

Producing tekkno music in 1994

This is a very old video from 1994 which was uploaded to YouTube a couple of years ago already, but even nowadays this is still great fun to watch. See German tekkno rave-music producers like Klaus Jankuhn (Low Spirit Records) or Jam El Mar (from Jam & Spoon) in their studios, briefly describing how electronic music production worked back in the days. You can also hear lots of bad German accent and a young DJ Westbam mainly babbling non-sense in front of the camera.
